{"id":638,"date":"2008-10-28T15:46:08","date_gmt":"2008-10-28T15:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buildingbridgescharlottesville.org\/blog\/national-disability-employment-awareness-month"},"modified":"2026-01-29T11:44:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T16:44:59","slug":"national-disability-employment-awareness-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebridgeline.org\/dev\/national-disability-employment-awareness-month\/","title":{"rendered":"National Disability Employment Awareness Month!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Library of Congress celebrates October 2008 National Disability Employment Awareness Month by recognizing the contributions of Americans with disabilities to our society and workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.loc.gov\/topics\/disabilityawareness\/\">The Library of Congress<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In observance of this month, the <span class=\"caps\">JAG<\/span> School in Charlottesville is holding a Disability Awareness Fair on Friday the 31st of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They invited several organizations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lakeview Neurocare, Worksource Enterprises\/Breadworks, Department of Veterans\u2019 Affairs \u2013 Coming Home to Work Program, National Military Family Association, Arc of the Piedmont, <strong>Building a Bridge<\/strong>, Fort Lee Army Community Service (Soldier and Family Assistance Center\/EFMP), Military OneSource\/Wounded Warrior and Indepencence Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be a great opportunity for us to introduce Building a Bridge and to meet other organizations with similar interests.
