My name is Emily and I am an occupational therapy student working with The BridgeLine Place this spring. I grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and attended Virginia Tech where I received my bachelor’s degree in biology in 2012.
Following graduation, I moved to Richmond and worked as a nursing assistant for a year at a skilled nursing facility, and then as a rehabilitation technician at an outpatient center. In 2015 I moved to Staunton and began working on my Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree through Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, associated with Mary Baldwin University.
I will graduate from this program in May 2018 and hope to work at an inpatient facility specializing in neurorehabilitation. I enjoy spending time with my dog, Lilly, as well as hiking, running, swimming, and yoga. I am happy to be working with The BridgeLine Place and exploring Charlottesville this spring!
